 Virginia A. (Bollenbacher) Wendel

Virginia A. Wendel, 67, 2557 Frahm Pike, Celina, died at 2:08 p.m. Aug. 10, 2002, at Community Hospital, Coldwater.

She was born Dec. 6, 1934, in Liberty Township, Mercer County, to Albert and Lillian (Deitsch) Bollenbacher. On May 9, 1953, she married Carl E. Wendel and he survives.

Also surviving are a son and his wife, Randy D. and Kimberly of Celina; two daughters and their husbands, Debra A. and Donald Miller, Celina, and Christina K. and David Shepherd, Beavercreek; a brother and his wife, Dean P. and Mary Ann Bollenbacher, Celina; three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and a 1952 graduate of Rockford High School. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Rockford, where she was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Women's Fellowship.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. John Fleming officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tues-day at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, and after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Services for Virginia Wendel were 10:30 a.m. Aug. 14 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Liberty Township, the Rev. John Fleming officiated.

Organist was June Bollenbacher, and Gene Bollenbacher was soloist.

Pallbearers to the church cemetery were Jayme Hathaway, Sarah and Ryan Wendel, Sean Burckholter and Brent and Brian Bollenbacher.

W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, had charge of arrangements.
