Mrs. Laura F. McDorman, 86, of route 2, Rockford, O., mother of Mrs. William (Helen) Shook of Decatur, died at 3:30 a.m. Friday at Van Wert county hospital, where she had been a patient three days.

She was born Oct. 10, 1887, in Kentucky, the daughter of Theodore and Betty Hiil-Pigg. [sic]

She married John McDorman in June of 1937 and he survives with three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Ethel) Jamieson, route 2, Rockford; Mrs. William (Helen) Shook, Decatur; and Mrs. Ione Byer, Ohio City; two sons, Dale of Nappanee and Roy of route 1, Mendon; one brother, Lewis Williams, Las Vegas, Nev.; one half-sister, two half-brothers, 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ketcham-Ripley funeral home, Rockford. Burial will be in Tomlinson cemetery, near Mendon. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1:30 p.m. today.
