Mrs. Herman Kallmeyer Passes Peacefully Away After an Illness of Several Weeks

Caroline, wife of Herman Kallmeyer, died at her home on Second street at 11:15 last Sunday night after a painful illness following an operation several weeks ago.

Mrs. Kallmeyer was born at Cranberry Prairie on May 4, 1861, and was united in marriage to Herman Kallmeyer at Coldwater in 1880, and to this union five children were born, all of whom together with the husband survive to mourn the death of a kind, devoted and loving wife and mother. The children are: Mrs. Edward Gordon, of St. Marys; Henry, of Lima; Louis, Mary and Robert, at home. All were present at the funeral. She is also survived by one brother and two sisters, namely, Joseph Obringer, of Fremont; Mrs. Catherine Moeller, of Muncie, Indiana, and Mrs. B.C. Hansfeld, of Cincinnati.

Mrs. Kallmeyer was a devout member of the Catholic church and died well fortified with the last sacraments of the church of her faith. She was a member of the Christian Mothers' Society of Holy Trinity, the members attending her funeral in a body.

The deceased was held in high esteem by a wide circle of friends, all of whom extend their deep sympathy to the family in their hour of distress. Ever since her marriage she had made her home in and near Coldwater, and by her kindly disposition had endeared herself to all who knew her. Her days of toil are over. May she rest in peace and may her awakening be glorious and beautiful.

Funeral services were held at Holy Trinity church on Wednesday morning, Rev. Louis H. Yauss officiating, and burial was in Holy Trinity cemetery, east of town.

The family desires to sincerely thank all neighbors and friends for their kindness during the illness of their beloved wife and mother, Rev. Louis H. Yauss for his visits and consoling sermon, the donors of the beautiful floral offerings, Undertaker R.F. Toble for his efficient services, and donors of the autos for the funeral.

Among those from a distance who attended the funeral were: C.J. Heinmert and wife, Miss Nora Gast, Mrs. Jos. Gross and J.B. Haslinger, of Celina; Mrs. Minnie Kayser, Mrs. Wm. Mumbaugh and Mrs. Cass Cawley, of Lima; Mrs. Wm. Heiser, of Sidney; Miss Lidvina Birkmeyer, of Dayton; Mrs. Minnie Ruhlman, of Paulding; Mrs. Andy Obringer and sons, of St. Anthony; Hunry Pohl, of St. Henry; Mrs. John Smith and Mrs. Lewis Boltz, of St. Marys.
