Mary Koch Dies At 93

Mrs. Marv Elizabeth Koch, 93, R 1 Rockford, died at 7:55 a.m. Tuesday at Shane Hill Nursing Home, Rockford.

Mrs. Koch was born March 24, 1880 in Mercer County, the daughter of Christian and Mary (Bollenbacher) Fisher. She was married to John Koch who preceded her in death in 1952.

Survivors include six children,  Arlie Koch, R. 1, Rockford; Glenn Koch, Tharr, Tex.; Mrs. Hilda Eichenauer, Decatur, Ind.; Morris Koch, R. 1, Rockford; Mrs. Maria Snyder, Benson, Ariz.; and Mrs. Margaret Geringer, Toledo; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Koch was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, where funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Edward Eberthart officiating. Interment will be in the Chattanooga Mausoleum.

Friends may call at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford, after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, and until noon Thursday when the body will be taken to the church.

Mother of city resident dies

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Koch, 93, of route 1, Rockford, O., mother of Mrs. Hilda Eichenauer of Decatur, died at 7:55 a.m. today at a Rockford nursing home.

She was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ, located near Rockford.

Born in Mercer county, O., on March 24, 1880, she was the daughter of Christian and Marry Bollenbacher-Fisher, and was married to John Koch, who preceded her in death in 1952.

Surviving are six children, Morris, of route 1, Rockford; Arlie, of route 1, Rockford; Glenn, of Pharr, Tex.; Mrs. Hilda Eichenauer of Decatur; Mrs. Marea [sic] Snyder of Benson, Ariz.; Mrs. Margaret Geringer of Toledo, O.; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Saint Paul Church. Friends may call at the Ketcham-Ripley funeral home, Rockford, after 1:30 p.m. Thursday, and until 12 noon Friday.
