Rev. Roger Kincaid
Rev. Roger Kincaid, 89, died at 3:52 a.m. Dec. 8, 2009, at the
Gardens at Celina.
He was born April 19, 1920, to Homer R. and Glendora Clase
Kincaid. On Nov. 23, 1944, he married Lieufay Shively, who died
Oct. 23, 2004.
Surviving are a son, Roger R. (Penny S.) Kincaid, Celina; a brother, Kenneth W. Kincaid, Columbus; a sister, Donna L. Kocher, McMinnville, Ore.; two granddaughters; and four great grandchildren.

Deceased is a sister, Dora Leming.
He graduated from Olive Branch High School, New Carlisle, in 1939,
and Olivet Nazarene College in 1944. Some of the churches he
served included, Lithopolis Nazarene Church, Columbus; Loudonville
Church of the Nazarene, Loudonville; Sand Springs Church of the
Nazarene, Sand Springs, Okla.; Piqua Church of the Nazarene, and
Bryan Nazarene Church, Bryan. He was also a registered evangelist
for the Church of the Nazarene. He was a former member of the
Piqua Kiwanis club where he served as treasurer. After retiring
from active ministry, he was an intricate part of the family at
Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua for many years.
Services are 1 p.m. Monday, at Piqua Church of the Nazarene, the
Revs. Lincoln Robinson and Rev. Steve Spoon officiating. Burial is
at Glen Haven Memorial Park, New Carlisle.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua.
A luncheon will be held for family and friends at 11:30 a.m. at
the activity building beside the church.
