Homer Huston

 

Homer E. Huston, 75, 204 Hickory St, St. Marys, died Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. at his residence following an ex-tended illness.

He was born Aug. 5, 1915, in Indiana to Charles and Edna (Hussey) Huston and March 16, 1940, was married to Evelyn Speckman, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Diana Koenig, St. Marys, and Mrs. Wilbur (Beth) Rodeheffer, New Bremen; a son, David, St Marys; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and his mother-in-law, Florence Speckman, St. Marys.

Three brothers, Alvin, Francis and Thomas, are deceased.

He was former owner-operator of Huston's Sohio, St. Marys, and retired from Hoge Lumber. He was a member of St Paul's United Church of Christ, St Marys, where he served as deacon and was a member of the men's association of the church.  He also was a former member of the Kiwanis Club.

Services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. The Rev. Carl Mohr will officiate and burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
