FUNERAL TODAY FOR WIFE OF C.A. BRANSTETER

Jefferson Tp. Woman Dies Suddenly Late Friday

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today at the Mt. Hope Church of the Nazarene for Mrs. Charles A. (Nellie) Bransteter, 70, of Jefferson Township, who died at 6:55 p.m. Friday at the South View Rest Home near Bluffton. Rev. Kenneth Swan, pastor of the church, officiated and burial was in Swamp College Cemetery west of Celina, Ohio. Mrs. Bransteter was a member of the Mt. Hope Church.

Mrs. Bransteter had been in failing health for many years but death was due to a sudden heart attack. She had been in the rest home one week, and had been in the Berne Nursing Home since last January before being moved to Bluffton. She sat up in her wheel chair Friday evening to eat and died soon afterwards. Mr. and Mrs. Bransteter resided five miles east and two miles south of Berne.
She was born in Mercer County, Ohio, March 28, 1885, the daughter of Henry and Jane McGough. She was married to Charles Bransteter, January 3, 1904 and the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last year. She was a resident of Adams County for 25 years.

In addition to the husband, the following children survive: Argyle Bransteter, Rockford, Ohio R. R. 1; Richard Bransteter, Geneva R. R. 2; Charles Bransteter, Jr., Berne R. R. 2; Lester Bransteter, Geneva; Mrs. Walther (Thelma) Tester, Geneva; Mrs. Vernon (Creva) Bollenbacher, Geneva R. R. 1; Mrs. C.D. (Wilma) Gaede, Camarillo, Calif.; Mrs. Victor (Frieda) Bryle, Fort Wayne; Mrs. Eugene (Deloris) Caffee, Geneva R. R.; Mrs. Glen (Garni) Bollenbacher, Geneva R. R. and Mrs. Robert (Betty) Parr, Berne R. R.; 25 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Thomas McGough, Celina, Ohio and John and Neil McGough, both of Willshire, Ohio R. R. and a sister, Mrs. Lucy Myers, Fort Wayne.
Two daughters, Irma and Hazel and a son Chester, a brother and sister preceded in death.
