LONG ILLNESS PROVES
FATAL TO C. A. BRANSTETER
Funeral Friday for
Jefferson Township Retired Farmer
Charles A.
Bransteter, 76, well known Jefferson Township retired farmer, died at
9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the South View Nursing Home near Bluffton
following a serious illness of six months.
He had been in ill
health two years and critically sick for six weeks. He had hardening
of the arteries and suffered several strokes in recent weeks. Mr.
Bransteter was admitted to the South View Nursing Home July 1, 1955.
He was a resident of Jefferson Township for 23 years.
Mr.
Bransteter was a native of Ohio and was born January 27, 1880, the son
of Michael and Lealine Carmack Bransteter. He was married to Nellie
McGough January 4, 1909. She preceded in death July 8, 1955.
Surviving are the following children: Argyle Bransteter, Rockford,
Ohio R.R. 1; Richard A. Bransteter, Geneva R.R. 2; Charles A.
Bransteter, Jr., Berne R.R. 2; Lester Bransteter, Geneva; Mrs. Walter
(Thelma) Tester, Geneva; Mrs. C.D. (Wilma) Gaede, Camarillo, Calif.;
Mrs. Victor (Frieda) Bryie, Fort Wayne; Mrs. Vernon (Creva)
Bollenbacher, Mrs. Eugene (Deloris) Caffee and Mrs. Glen (Garni)
Bollenbacher, all of Geneva, and Mrs. Robert (Betty) Parr, Berne.
There are 26 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and a sister,
Mrs. Harry Baucher, Celina, Ohio. Two sisters, Mrs. Nora White and
Mrs. Hulda Case, preceded in death.
The body is at the Yager
Funeral Home where friends may call after 7:00 p.m. today. Services
will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Mt. Hope Church of the
Nazarene of which he was a member, Rev. Kenneth Swan officiating.
Burial will be in Swamp College Cemetery.
