BAUCHER
Paul D. Baucher, age 82, of Celina,
passed away Wednesday
May 16, 2018, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born February 1, 1936 in Mercer County, to the
late
Edward George & Mabel Leona (Mills) Baucher.
Paul married
Patricia A. Garman on May 25, 1963.
She preceded him in death on
January 10, 2012.
He is survived by their children: Scott
Baucher of Celina,
Kelly Speers of Dayton and Michelle Sutter of
Celina;
4 grandchildren: Ashley Thees, Nathaniel Baucher,
and
Andy & Tony Sutter; and 3 great grandchildren:
Brendan & Chloe
Thees and Sadie Baucher.
His 3 brothers: Ralph, Charles, and
Donald Baucher, and
a son-in-law Doug Speers, also preceded him in
death.
Paul was a graduate of Rockford High School. He served
with the
U.S. Army, and was a member of Celina American Legion
Post#210
and V.F.W. Post #5713.
He had worked for Heckler
Electric in Celina and Sidney Electric, and
was a member of the
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers
Union - IBEW Local
#32. Paul also served as a volunteer with the
Celina Fire
Department for many years.
He was an active member of St.
Paul's Lutheran Church, Wabash; and
had been a member of the
Mercer County Sportsmen's Association,
Jaycees, and Celina Moose
Lodge #1473.
Paul loved OSU Sports, and the Cincinnati Reds and
Bengals. An avid
Celina High football fan, Paul attended every
home game for years,
watching the Bulldogs from his 8th row seat
on the 50 yard line.
A talented gardener, Paul enjoyed growing
vegetables, roses,
and a variety of other flowers.
Funeral
Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 19,
at W.H.
Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, with
Pastor Robin
Owen officiating.
Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens,
with the Celina VFW
and American Legion Posts conducting graveside
military rites.
Calling Hours are 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, May
18, and 11:00 a.m.
until time of services on Saturday, at the
funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the
Cancer Association of Mercer County,
American Heart Association,
or St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
