Bollenbacher Rites Slated

 

Roma G. Bollenbacher, 67, 516 W. Market St., died at 10 am Saturday in Otis Hospital, where he had been a patient one day. He had been ailing for some time with a heart condition.

 

Born October 14, 1895 in Liberty Township, his parents were the late Antone and Katherine Zeilinger Bollenbacher. He was a retired cabinet maker and had been an employee at Martz Cabinet Co. tor several years.

 

Mr. Bollenbacher was a member of the United Church of Christ in Liberty Township and was a veteran of World War I. He had reached the rank of sergeant.

 

He was first married to Clara Kable in 1919 and she passed away in 1921. In 1923 he married Mary Robison and her death occurred in 1937. In 1938 he married Flora Birley Marbaugh and she survives.  

 

Surviving with the widow are six daughters, Mrs. Glen (Dorothy) Fox, Rockford; Mrs. James (Frieda) Buxton, Tucson, Ariz.; Mrs. Basil (Wilma) Shaffer, Rockford; Mrs. Donald (Rose Ann) Jeffries, Celina; Mrs. Lewis (Janet) Greene, Celina; Miss Karen Bollenbacher at home; one son, Thomas of Oxford; one step-son, Robert Marbaugh of Eaton; one step-daughter, Mrs. Howard (Betty) Wale, Celina; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, three brothers, Elmer and Victor, both of Rockford; and Ralph of Van Wert: and two sisters. Mrs. George Sielschott of St. Marys and Mrs. Rudy Smith, Wabash.

 

One brother is deceased.

 

Friends may call in W. H. Dick and Sons Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Liberty Township, with the Rev. Larry K. May officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
