He died of injuries suffered in a two-car
accident that occurred on Sunday,
Feb. 8 when the car, driven by his wife, Margaret, in which he
was riding, collided with
a car driven by Steve Weikel, 17, as the Bollenbachers were leaving
the church parking lot in
Chattanooga
following the Sunday morning church services.
He was born in Mercer County, February 28, 1888
and moved from their farm on the State Line Road to Willshire two
years ago.
He was married March 27, 1913 to the former
Margaret Schott.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two
daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Arveda) Purdy of R. 1, Celina, Mrs. George
(Marjorie) Eckrote of R.2, Berne, Ind.; one son, Leroy Bollenbacher of
Willshire route; three half-sisters, Mrs. Edward (Hulda) Becher of
Lakeville, Ind., Mrs. Emma Zehr of Harlan, Ind., and Mrs. Frieda
Kriescher of Van
Wert; seven grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.
