Ex-County Official Dies

 

 Daniel F. Bollenbacher, 75, former Mercer County Commissioner, died at 7 p.m. Sunday at his home in Liberty Township. He had served eight years as trustee of Liberty Township and later was county commissioner for four years. He had been ill since October.

 

He was born June 12, 1887 in Liberty Township and was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Chattanooga, where rites will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow in Kessler Cemetery. The Rev. Larry K. May will officiate.

 

Surviving are his widow, Laura Baker Bollenbacher, to whom he was married October 7, 1909, three sons, Vernon C. and Glen L., both RR, Geneva, Ind., and Archie, R. 1. Celina; one daughter, Leota, at home; one brother, Jacob, Convoy; and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Bollenbacher. R. 1, Celina, and Mrs. Mollie Baker, R. 1, Rockford. There are also four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

 

Friends may call in the family residence after 7 p.m. today.
