Baker Passes Away In Decatur
Jacob A. Baker, 84, retired farmer of the
Chattanooga area, died this morning at 1 in Adams County Memorial
hospital, Decatur. He had been ill a long time.
He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob
J. Baker and was born in Mercer County, November 1875.
His wife, Katherine Linn Baker preceded him in
death.
He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical and
Reformed Church near Chattanooga, where the rites will be held Sunday
2:30 p.m. The Rev. John Perl will officiate and burial will follow in
the church cemetery.
He is survived by the following sons and
daughters: Victor R. and Ernest of Chattanooga; Edgar of Columbus;
Miss Marguerite Baker of Celina; Mrs. Chauncy (Delores) Palmer of Ft.
Wayne and Mrs. Robert (Genevieve) Mousseau of Tripoli, North Africa.
There are 10 grandchildren, four great
grandchildren and the following brother and sisters; T. A. Baker of
Celina; Mrs. Mary Stuckey and Mrs. M. A. Linn of Chattanooga; Mrs.
Albert Germann of Celina; and Mrs. Fredonia Germann of Convoy.
Relatives and friends may call in Yager Funeral
Home at Berne after 9 a.m. Saturday, until the time of the rites.
